The rest of the team played like, well, a team. Typical Arsenal - trying to pass Kyiv off the park! But Kyiv planned to make a game of it, and defended like a brick wall and weren't too bad up front either! No doubt Oleg the Horse is passing his knowledge on to them.
Gallas returned, and played like a rock in defence. Silvestre played his best match of his Arsenal career (it took Oleg until his last Arsenal game to manage that). Silvestre still can't close his mouth, but I'm sure he's working on that!
Kyiv can complain all they like about the goal, but the referee let Cesc take the kick and cross to Nicky. If it was breaking the rules, he would have no hesitation in letting us know! But let's not dwell on that - it was a fine cross, well taken by Nicky and a brilliant finish.
